Here I am writing my first blog. Some of you may know me as Lisa Sansom, and some maybe just know Squirrels Interiors, but here is a bit about me if you don’t know me at all…
I have been an interior designer for 25 years, and along the way I have raised my two stunning daughters Harriet and Lydia. Harriet has just completed her psychology degree at the University of Edinburgh, and Lydia is off to Bournemouth in September to start her Art Foundation.
I now work from my design studio in the picturesque village of Stockbridge, just outside of Winchester in Hampshire. This is the heart of Squirrels Interiors and where all of the design work happens. We cover a wide radius from here, and we have clients coming to us from all over the place! I confess I am quite a perfectionist and I take huge pride in what we do here, which is reflected in the quality of our work and our enthusiasm towards it.
Currently, my home is tucked away in the rural Hampshire countryside, which suits me down to the ground. Now my girls have largely flown the nest, home is shared with Prudence, Teddy, and Arabella (my three miniature Shetlands), Rupert and Evie (my two donkeys), and my four lovely dogs, Alfie, Theo, Rosie, and Martha. Oh, and of course not forgetting my partner Robert…(priorities!)
Perhaps unsurprisingly, home is really important to me, although this doesn’t stop me from wanting to move, and I am constantly seeking out new projects to get stuck into! Renovating old or neglected houses is a hobby of mine, as well as a career. To me, there really is nothing better than injecting much needed TLC into a house and making into a beautiful and functional home. My style is probably best described as traditional English, but with a quirky twist, and this is what I want to try and convey in this blog. I want this blog to be somewhere for you to be able to read about and look at my work, and to have an insight into the world of interior design according to Squirrels Interiors.[/fusion_text]
